microwave, toilet light, baseboard heaters, cabinet door pulls

After working outside for a while, the microwave was installed today.  It took a while to get it installed because of the same problem as the rear suite at 520 – the cabinet bracket screws are almost lined up with the microwave mounting screws, forcing the mount to be slightly off-center.

However, there is a little flange that sticks out at the top left, preventing the cabinet door from opening.

It seems to have no purpose, so…

…I cut it off.

This is the finished product (redacted).

The motion sensor toilet light switch was apparently dead.  I pulled the switches out and found no fault.  I re-tightened the Marrettes (wire nuts).  It now works.

The baseboard heaters, on the other hand, need some work.  There are extra wires that I cannot account for, presumably because of the built-in thermostat.  I’ll have to research which wire does what before connecting them.

I finally added door pulls (handles) to the cabinets (cupboards).  I chose black long ago because of the black kitchen faucet I bought long ago.  I think it looks good.  (That faucet is now installed here.  However, the sink is still stainless steel.  I think it looks a little awkward.)

At the end of the day, more cleanup outside was done.
