After doing some garden work, working on electrical upstairs, doing some cleanup downstairs, we began work on getting the kitchen east wall ready for a new 36″ door. The current door is 32″ which does not meet building code standards. Too bad, as it was only put in about 4 years ago.
If anyone wants a door, it is now for sale. Make me an offer.
Ready for a new door.
I tried putting up the next drywall sheet, but, with my arm and wrist failing me, it was too difficult. I’ll do it tomorrow.
Dave came up with the idea of adding a screen to his paint bucket spout. This way, no debris from the paint tray will get mixed in with the paint when he pours it back.
One more thing – I ordered two new refrigerators for this property yesterday (one for the main floor, one for upstairs). Dave came by with a flyer from The Brick showing a sale on. I checked online to confirm that I got my sale price, but The Brick lost my order! They couldn’t find it with my name, phone number, email address, delivery address, billing address, or anything else. I called, they called back, etc. After about 1 hour, they called back to “confirm my order”. They were apparently going to call me yesterday after the order was placed but didn’t have enough staff to do so. <sigh> There’s an hour I cannot get back.
It was bad enough that my Walmart Mastercard had all the numbers worn off (not stamped into the card as per tradition) and I had to call and waste 45 minutes of my time dealing with that.
I like going to real stores.
