This morning, Erin at Home Depot set me up with new cabinet legs and the little screws needed to hold the soft-close mechanisms in place. Perhaps I can still find the others, but, in the mean time, I need these to move forward. The 36″ corner cabinets have 8 legs.
Levelling these is pretty easy. You just twist the legs in or out.
The 30″ cabinet drawers next to the fridge were installed, as were the 36″ next to the sink.
Little rubber bumpers were added.
A mistake was made in arranging the hinges for the corner cabinet. There is a double-door, and they take specific hinges. I mixed them up. They cannot be taken out once in. So, Canadian Tire sells plastic plugs. They worked well.
Next, the range (stove).
I kept the cable from the old one.
Nice.
Heat shielding was put on both sides.
But … where is all the oven stuff?
A sticker on the front of the drawer reminds the user to open the drawer … and their eyes.
Next, painting the kitchen and living room. This took forever.
In the mean time, Dave was busy skim coating and sanding the bathroom and various other places. He said he wished he could have more time to get it all done properly but that he tried his best and worked fast.
Next, prime the bathroom. This was completed, but no paint yet. That will have to be done tomorrow morning, dark and early.
