I bought some plywood for flooring, but, as it turns out, this is not needed. I will likely use it elsewhere.
There seem to be lots of cats in the neighbourhood.
The gaping hole under the veranda that leads to the basement needs to be plugged up. Too many cats go in there and mark and s#^% everywhere. Because there is a surplus of lumber, I found the right size of pieces to fill the hole.
Spray foam insulation was used to seal up the gaps.
We mixed some Feather Edge levelling compound and applied it to the floor chimney hole. This hole has been avoided for some time; the time has come to begin completing in.
There were lots of DuroSpan GPS insulation panels leftover from 520, so these were used to help keep the heat in / out. Dave brought over some long screws and flat washers to mount them.
Dave also found a crack in the drywall. It seems that this is a normal occurrence in renovations of older houses. Regrettably, it required the old tape removed and new tape mudded.
There is a gap between the window frame and the drywall as the walls are not really straight. The gap varies as you go up the window. Spacer boards were added to fill the gaps. White caulk was added to smooth out the rough spots and fill the smaller gaps.
Once done, the window trim could be added to the windows.
