2nd last day of work

Various things were done today.  It is my 2nd last day before the tenant moves in.

I rehung the laundry cabinets as they were a little lopsided and put in the shelving.

Dave was by early, and we discussed how to paint the door.  I began outside, but the wind carried some dust, so inside it went.

The door frames were badly in need of paint.  Screws were caulked and, after dry, cut clean to the frame before painting.  Bedroom 3 baseboards were painted.  This is the only room that doesn’t have new trim.  (No, the room isn’t that small.  I used the wide-angle lens on my phone camera.)

Rather than piecing three pieces in, the linoleum under the stairs was cut straight to ease installation.  The outlet faceplate was also done.

While the next floor glue was setting, the front door got a 2nd coat.

More window and baseboard trim was done.

Dave came back late in the evening to help with rehanging the front door.  I wonder what the neighbours will think.

The flooring under the stairs is mostly complete.  Seam sealer and trim are still needed.

More white trim in BR3.  (Again, wide-angle.)  While I’m at it, the door frame needed help.  A door stop was added.

It’s all time consuming.
