Here’s the bathroom door before being hung.
The dormer needs a ceiling and drywall on both sides.
The wires have been secured and the poly taped.
I measured from the window to the edge of the ceiling framing (like a joist) and then from the edge of the drywall to the center of the light hole. Oops! I should have measured to the side of the light hole. More web taping for Dave.
The bathroom door was hung a few mm off the floor. I knew the floor was out, but I didn’t know it was out that much.
I also added a spacer to accommodate the difference. Adding 3/4″ of shims didn’t seem right.
As for the bedroom door, this took some conversation, planning, and adapting the plan. To use the off-angle bead, the drywall on both walls must match up properly. Because of the 45° framing, the 45° angled wall (with the door) had to be built up. Because of that, the door had to be adjusted out by 1/2″. This whole thing should have taken less than a half hour, but it ended up taking about two hours.

Oops! Normally the table saw barely notices hitting a nail, but this one was a substantial nail.
The dormer ceiling was drywalled, and Dave mudded it.
I meant to show a picture of the electrical panel being moved out 1/2″ to accommodate drywall. Here it is.
And now the top landing and stairway ceilings. One light, for some reason, was wired around a rafter tie (ceiling joist), so I had to chase the wire back and reroute it. I hate stapling wires in dusty attics over stairways.
In scavenging lumber for everything, I found some writing. “Lethbridge lumber?” I can’t quite make it out. The second one looks like someone was drawing a Charley Brown Christmas tree.
Backing was put in for the top landing ceiling and stairway. I need to get some metal brackets to do the other side as I cannot get the drill into the ceiling to mount the backing. More updates as they come in.
